Wanted - Things for the Van.

    G'day All,
After a couple of things for the van, so if anyone can help just PM me.

    1. Good set of rear mudflaps. Have been told that they have to be from either a van or ute type as sedans & wagons were different. Been looking for a while now & not having much luck.
    2. Good set of Gazelle coloured armrests.

All help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Glenn.

Good question...I want to know the same thing. Are the mudflaps for a van/ute different and what should they look like?

The rear mudflaps are different for ute/van. I'll see if I can find some pics.

I know they look shit, but I'd rather have mudflaps & no stone chips compared to no mudflaps & stone chips. Also on a similiar note just after I bought my van, when I was in Melb visiting the relos I got a bloke from a company called "Invisible Car Bras" to put some of his product on all of the front panel sections of my van plus the bottom sections on the side. I think it cost around $350. This stuff is clear & looks simialar to contact you put on school books. It's hard to see, can be removed, has a lifetime warranty & me at the time living in the country (who used to get heaps of stone chips) from just going for a cruise stopped them & since I got it done haven't had one stone chip. I highly recommend it & wish I did it to all of my muscle cars in the past. If anyone is interested just let me know & I'll pass on his details.
Lastly I'm after not quite sure what it's called but it's the nylon bush (if that's what it is) that goes between the rear upper tailgate handle & the body. I don't have one on my van & because of this the paint is chipping away at the body.

I also had no nylon bush in rear tailgate - funny I thought the original was actually a chrome plated steel bush. - anyway I got one machined up where I work made out of nylon as it could then be made to be a neat press fit.

If you looked closely you would see the bush in the rear tailgate - but for practicalities the nylon works a treat

    Thanks Wayne,
Not certain it's of a nylon nature, was just guessing. Either way I need to source one, so if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers,
    Glenn.

Also gents, I'm after a correct HJ center bin lid which is forward of gear shifter.

Is your lid broken or missing altogether?

When I was restoring the van at the time I couldn't source a HJ type so was forced to put in a HX/Z type with the scollop tray. Seems like rare spares only repo that type not the HQ/J type with the lid.
