Thats exactly right. The red wire with the white glass fuse holder is for all genuine twin headlight fronts. (in HZ)

Jason we are talking about the Dark blue &. Dark green wires that are moulded
into the the grommet that passes through the firewall to the engine bay..

Thankyou for correcting me Dr Terry
I was just going by the diagrams
I suppose this could be one of the first cases of one wiring harness fits all models like a lot of modern cars
    Just plug and play

The blue/green double plug near the booster has an identical twin on the other side of the firewall. If you look under the dash, in the accelerator area you will see it.

It was GM-H's method of running extra wiring, for any accessories required, without the need to drill new holes in the firewall panel or cut into the waterproof wiring grommets. It consisted simply of 2 wires (blue & green) around 30 cm long, wrapped into the factory harness which disappear under the dash, only to reappear on the engine side of the firewall. They were terminated with a standard 2-pin harness connector it either end.

The driving light wiring is the only item mentioned in the circuits, issued as part of the HZ intro service bulletin, where these circuits originate. Holden did not publish a proper factory workshop manual for the HZ (or the HX, LX or UC for that matter), so it is not really known what these 'other accessories' were.

I've used this pair of wires for many different things over the years, such as driving lights, fog lights, air con & thermo fan wiring being the most common.

Thanks Dr Terry, that sounds resolved to me. Interestingly i just found an older thread asking about these on this site, so perhaps the picture from that post will help with identification. See below, cheers
