    Gauge Issues- SOLVED

    Sorry me again,

All were working fine and for no reason today (didn't do anything to it). I have :

    • Fuel tank showing Full ( but its only half). No elves filled it up over night
    • Nothing showing for Battery (whilst off and running)
    • Oil Pressure on zero
    • Battery showing as flat

    +11Volts at the pink wire

I'm sure its an electrical issue, but not sure where to start ?

    Appreciate any thoughts

    Hi Maxsandman,

I have checked the earth's, yes they all meet at a bolt. Ill try the ignition switch. Seem odd as it was all working fine

You might also look around the fuse box, I've got something similar going on when the fuse box cover is on....fuse box cover off and all is ok

Are the two screws that hold the fuse block in the dash tight or is the bakelite possibly cracked? Have seen similar and the screws were loose and the earth strap wire needed a quick tighten.

If they are all playing up at once together then it is something common to all of them. Suggest a close look at the harness connection or the dash earths. It will be something both very small and simple.

    Check or replace that fuse
Being glass they can look ok & even sometimes check ok
but with a dodgey joint in the end cap where you can't see it
Cheap Chinese ones are the worst

    Hi All,

    Problem SOLVED.

Rooky Mistake. When you are missing a couple of Gauge screws and spread them around to hold things in place ALWAYS use the screw hole on the bottom right hand side of the four Gauges (this hold the earth for that cluster.

In the end that's all it was.

    Appreciate your help guys

    Yes thanks to All,

It would be great if everyone could come back once they have found their resolution and mark their thread as SOLVED.

It would save other posting the same issue time and time again !!

    Just a thought

    Cheers
