    Have to find out if vt fuel gauge on pump will work with the Hz fuel gauge and I'll delete the original gauge/pickup pipe setup from side of tank also.

    Great idea Cocko750. Let us know, it would be good to just plug and play if possible. Also, i got my weld ring in the post yesterday...

    Update, hmm I think I've found the answer to the VT sender working with the HZ gauge. Looks like it wont work natively. See chart below;

    The VT fuel gauge sender will not work with the HZ instruments. The HZ sender reads 73 ohms empty & 10 ohms full. The VT sender reads 282 empty & 40 ohms empty (the same as all Commodores VB to VYII).

    The best fix IMHO, is to get an instrument dude to fit Commodore gauge guts into the HZ cluster. This is of course if you can't retain the original HZ sender.

    Thought as much I've just had all instruments reconditioned and tested ,might give him a call to find out if possible and I'll put it on here after New Years, I grabbed the tank and all hoses including what I think is the canister (square box centre hose runs to and one hose from front )from a vt v6 and was going to mount this close to tank . On the vs 5.0l isn't there hoses running from the throttle body to the canister then to tank? Wondering whether the v6setup will work?

    Just spoke to the instrument repairer he says he can fit an adapter to my fuel gauge to let it read the vt fuel sender which will work really well,$190 is what he charges to supply and fitthe parts to my refurbished fuel gauge (he did this last year for me) really happy with his work and he will try and sort any problem. As soon as I get my adapter and pump together I'll throw a few photos up.

    Hmm, got a little ahead of myself yesterday...dropped into Yella Terra and stared at their 304 EFI bolt on Blower kit. Wonder how a blown 355 would go in the Panel Van? Now I just want one...yummy yummy yummy!

    Modded a spare tank I had , put fuel pump at rear (vt setup),weld strip first to give a flat area then holesaw 102mm weld ring adapter. Had instrument man modify fuel gauge with a mod box which plugs in and it will now read the vt sender , the mod cost $190IMG_5554.JPGIMG_5484.jpg
