Hey Cocko, nice tank job. Was there a technical reason on mounting the ring adapter to the rear of tank or just choice?

Thought it would be better at rear so hoses could run forward and connect in there original position at side ,I cut sender and pipes off and welded holes to make a blanking plate also, but can refit the original pickup and sender as well as the vt pump with it at rear.

Has anyone been able to get the orginal HJ-Z oil pressure & temp guages to work with there EFI set up? I plane to retain the orginal HZ fuel tank sender.

Hey rallyvan, check out post 52 in this thread for a resistance chart. I think HZ senders could be added on the engine to get 73-10 ohm resistance range for the gauges. The temp gauge sender should just swap out for a HZ unit as it only supplies the gauge (computer has its own temp sender next to it) and same with the oil pressure switch on the pump. As it just turns the oil light on, you could swap it out for a sender type to suit a HZ gauge.

    Hope it helps, cheers
