235/60/14 or 235/65/14 Yokahamas
+1 to what Vombil wrote. 235s are waaaaaay too wide for 6 inch rims. The widest I'd be comfortable going on them would be 205. I'm running 195R14 RD 604 LT (yep, bridgestone light truck) 8ply tyres on my ute as I like the stiffer sidewall. They aren't for everyone, they don't look wide or even remotely low profile but as my ute used to carry a slide on camper I just kept getting them. I'm used to the firmer ride but the trade off is that they handle much better than a soft walled normal 2 or 4 ply radial as they don't smear themselves all over the road when inflated to where they should be. If you want a softer ride then let them down to 35-40psi.
On my other set of 14x7 hurricanes I'm got some 235/60 sumitomos which I haven't really had an issue with in the wet (I inherited them when I bought the wheels) and some 225/60 Nittos I had to buy recently ($145 each) which I'm quite happy with. They come out of the same Japanese factory that every tyre made in Japan comes from (there is now only one tyre factory in that country) and it is quiet, grippy and hopefully last better than the Invos that were on my wifes turbo falcon (which lays tyres to waste as she is her father's daughter if you get my drift....).
Hope that helps.
