My girl is certainly not a show car, but it is mine and yes it does seem to get some attention. I think it must be the colour and the fact that there aren't many Sandmans in Far North Queensland. The following is a photo from a cruise last weekend.

What is the sparkly material you used on the side walls?
Chrome silver sequins or something like that, it is chrome spotty material that I bought from Spotlight.
It's a bit of a bugger to use as you need to keep the lines of the spots both horizontal and vertical at the same time.
I made a template to fit into the space, then cut 4mm mdf backboards and 9mm acoustic board for the fabric to be glued to. Before I screwed the backboards into place I filled the space behind them with foam cut to fit. The fabric was glued to the acoustic board buy spraying both the board and the fabric with industrial contact cement (the same glue used by cabinet makers). The acoustic boards were glued to the backing boards using polurathane sikaflex and supported in place using braces for 18 hours.
By using foam behind the backboards, the acoustic boards and cut foam under the roof lining, it has significantly reduced the noise when driving on the highway. The six inch cut foam mattress has worked a treat as well.

Very neat. I know with mine without the trim and mattress the drumming noise is very noticeable.
A lot of work gone into a great looking van , from the images on your thread I can see yours was in a similar state to mine. Windowless I love !! Will weld up mine . I also have a windowless EH Holden van as well ! IMG_0420.JPG
