    Also AFAIK, the TH400 shifters & the TH350 shifters are interchangeable in both versions & the lever is always on the left-hand side of the box.

    The Tri-Matic floor shifter was always rod only & connected to the transmission on the right-hand side.

    With a bit of fiddling the Tri-Matic shifter can converted to work on a TH400/350, I've done it many times.

    yes hz with m41 would more than likely have the rod shifter ive only ever seen the cable style in the hx hz statesmans and even then alot more rod than cable
