    crusty Territory HQ

Jethro here with my new project. See photo's attached.
An old HQ from a farm in the NT
not rusty i say, just a lot of sunburn!
Closer inspection reveals a hacked drivers side floor pan, and i'm sure the rest of her issues will surface in due course.
Bit of nostalgia for me as I've had 3 HQ's when I was younger.
    The missus was not impressed!

    Initial goals
leave the body as is. I like it crusty.
tidy up chassis rails and engine bay and
interior, I wanna go bench seat, not sure how that'll fit with gear shift though.
LS1 and tranny out of a Calais.
    disc brakes

Stoked to find a dedicated forum, ive tried car projects before and wasted time reinventing the wheel.
I want this to be a wee bit of a sleeper!

Nice save...should be a fun project.

    Love it, custom mod?
Yeah, I wasn't even looking for one, but I was chatting with the owner, noticed it and asked him about it.
Plenty of blokes looked and didn't splash the cash. I asked him how my much and couldn't get my hand in my pocket quick enough. I reckon it's cause I've bled on my last 3 projects and the scars have helped with blind faith, noble intentions and youthful memories.
I could only ever afford sedans, and here it is, old crusty
