    Greg Barker Farewells Rare Spares

Spoke with Greg from Rare Spares earlier this week.

He forwarded a message and asked if i could post it up here as he was having issues doing so. (the poor old bloke must have forgotten how to use a computer hahaha!)
    Goodluck with the retirement Greg.

    Message from Rares/Greg:

After completing 30 years at RSP/Rare Spares this December 30th 2016 is the last working day there for Greg Barker.(Tour Director)
It has been a rewarding time with so many restoration parts produced from numerous suppliers both globally and locally.
The Automotive industry itself has undergone so many changes over that time, and continues to evolve daily, that it has been exciting to be a part of it. Meeting and working with so many has been one of the highlights and many friendships established over that period.
We have listened to comments about product and where possible have answered them, at the same time tried to help enquiries by members.
Wishing everyone the best for 2017 and beyond.

Ditto. Enjoy your retirement. Hopefully you can get along to a few car shows and not feel like you're working now. Got any projects in the wings to keep you busy?

We still make parts here too!

We have 5+ people around at our Metal Pressing factory in Campbellfield flat out making parts, a Gasket Stamping factory with one person employed full time and a fair few people in our workshop here too working away at trying to keep up with demand. I still work in Purchasing/Product Sourcing here at Rare Spares Head Office.

Stacks of HQ-WB parts in the pipeline so we will still be busy back at the office.

I hope Greg enjoys his retirement!
