    Exclusive to Sandman?

What about centre consoles? Where there any exclusive to sandman? Particularly in the earlier series when the other commercials didn't get floor shift. Not sure if all sedan/wagon ones had ashtrays.

HQ Sandman console had a blanking piece in the rear ashtray position. The console is the same as GTS of the time (without the rear ashtray). I still have my original console from March 1974. It is in my new van now.

HJ and HQ. HX and HZ Sandmans are essentially a Kingswood as well but because of the side strips on a Kingswood, rather than try and NOT fit them on the production line they fitted full Kingswood trim and garnish the a Holden.

Can't imagine why they would be. My ute was super economical when I travelled out west though. Maybe because of that it was considered the extra 5L was not required.....ha,ha,ha.
