Ah yes. That explains it!! The bouncing up and down and bottoming out on a rock in the drive in? Ahhhhh yes it would only happen in a sandman!
Mexican fuel tank. False bottom for drug trafficing.
when I bought the WB that I had me n me mate stopped at the Roadhouse for a coffee n fuel when these people came up to us (they were high as kites) and said that all WB's were sandmans, that the cheap CSA copies of the Centreline mags were factory fitted and so was the gas system. I still laugh about it!
Did hj sandmans as a 6 cylinder, come out with a gts dash in them the same as the 8s or did any have a standard dash?
All Sandmans had a GTS Dash, My unccle had a HJ 253, 3 on the tree, an I saw a HX, a few years ago with a bench seat, and 202, it still had aGTS Dash.
Fj, all sandies are floor shift n 2 seaters
BQZ
No Not All Sandmans are Floorshift or a 2 seater, Only HZ's were that.
My Father worked at a Holden Dealership. Anything went, up until HZ.
That is not correct at all!
All HQ-HZ Sandmans were:
Bucket seats.
Console shift.
U21 (HQ) or U17 (HJ-HZ) dash (people call this GTS dash).
N67 (steel) or N66 (alloy - late HZ only) rally rims and spare wheel winch to suit.
You could not change this formula. These are all called COMPONENT OPTIONS. There were lots of other things that some Sandmans got but not all Sandmans got it like blackouts (black Sandmans didn't get them) or stripes (stripes were optional on HQ-HJ and HZ).
