    hj van b47 comfort pack

Hi all just purchased a hj panel van 5/75 l31 m21 gv4 jamacin lime/green with b47 comfort pack. Full hood lining carpet gvm 2200kg and 3 seater. Brisbane built i have spoken to a old feller that said it was a very rare option but around that time in brisbane there where around 6 sandman vans that where sold as a three seater but only had 2 seats because mine has the factory center console mount brackets the old feller said they called the the Monday cars?? Maybe someone else has come across this before cheers darryn

Hi Darryn, nice colour and driveline. I don't know much about the comfort packs. Did Brisbane stamp the b47 on the compliance like they did the sandman codes? or how do you tell its a comfort pack?

No nothing on plates but has the factory clip/toothed strip in rear and carpet plus what makes the head hurt it has factory center console mount brackets but has 3 seater on plate. I just had to buy it colour was me but something said take me home only car people understand that feeling right.

Can't say I've heard that story before. We've seen one or 2 examples where a 3 was stamped and then a 2 stamped over it. Being Brisbane built it should have XX7 or XU3 stamped on the plate to be a Sandman, no matter what.
Console bracket can be added and if it has a comfort pack then it will have the headlining teeth. Has it been restored?

Only definitive way to prove it's a Sandman would be to get the Holden Historical Services report. Sounds like a nice van either way

Not been restored has had some 2 to be exact colours blue and red over the original colour rubbed it back to original paint the interior not touched still the white/gray paint with green over spray still had the factory roof lining and the rear track for roof lining i was having a good look at it you would have to separate the roof to install??? The console brackets where factory as i drilled the spot welds to remove floor.

The "6" Monday vans needs to be added to the urban myths list.
The tag that I saw that was changed from 3 seat to 2 seat still had XX7 on it.

Thanks. Your correct. Ben not Byron. I think Ben and Byron do some communication regarding Sandmans though.
