Don't try this if your married, I put one rim at a time in my dishwasher on the pot scrub cycle, and it cleans up the back side of the rims nice. Use the bottom shelf, it also does a nice job on floor mats.

Haha I am married and I do this all the time, great for cleaning out oil bottles too, as in the old glass ones I collect. They do Vent Relief covers too very well...its the Caustic that gets the oil and dirt off them...

We clean our Air Conditioner and Exhaust Fan filters in the dish washer.
You gotta watch the soap on Alum. I'll bet if you take the racks out it would clean the fins on a radiator nicely. I wonder if you could bolt/glue two together fir a bigger cabinet?
