Don't take the wrong way, I like the Capella shape.
Mate, I once drove a 180B so I can't lay crap on anyone. I never have regretted selling that one. Worst $180 bucks I ever spent!
If (that's a big if) the old Datto is still going it would still be pumping out confetti. All the mates filled the air vents to the brim the day I married the missus in 1988.

Is that what 180B stood for ....$180 bucks.....it all makes sense now....the 200B that followed it would've allowed for inflation

I went from this (Monkey Mia W.A 1986)

To this 1987 Sigma high roof wagon (not actual car, mine was white and didn't have the rear spoiler)

One is probably worth $30k now and the other I most likely shave with

Back in the late 80's I had a fella offer me one similar for a swap for a 253 4-speed HQ ute. I thought I needed the ute more and then 12 months later swapped it for a Landcruiser FJ40 with a 350 Chev that would do wheel stands in low rangeasta:

BTW nice looking Monaro, those Dragway Indy's somehow suited the body shape

Very nice looking car there, if it was a photo I bet it would have tear drops all over it

Definately regret selling this, always missed it. But of course it had to go in order to buy the first house in the late 70's.

The sandman was bought new Feburary, paid around AU$4500 with all the extras, sold late 70's for NZ$7500. I always remember the salesman at Sutton motors Arncliffe saying this was the first they had on the lot so be quick (it was on display on their number 1 spot). True or not? who knows.
