thanks, wont fit my van (13 in) but they will look good on my torana
did not quite get engine in today as hoped i would, as fair bit mroe to do to the motor than i remembered lol. like new pick up and sump had to go on, engine mounts bit harder to change than thought. wind blew my engine over when draining ls1 sump, so decided to make most of bad situation and swapped sump over while it was on its side. its only loose on as need new gasket as thought original might be ok but wasnt when came off.
and need a plate to cover where the fly wheel is exposed, the old sump covered it but mine being swapped around doesnt cover it now LOL. so about a bees whisker now to getting it bolted in. before i put my front back on i need to fix some rust where the bottom of the guards bolt up, bit nasty there :( but will be so happy when get this engine in as feel like making progress thenmany thanks to a mate for coming up and helping me with this as no way i could manage this bit.
engine mounts on
draining oil before removing sump. and before engine blew over. i did have the tractor holding the chain but the hydraulic leaks so wasnt holding the bucket up so had to remove it, then wind blew it all over.not idea way to drain, etc but havent got much in ways of decent places to work here so got to deal with what i can.
new oil pickup fits like a glove
new sump on and here is my gap i need to fabricate a plate up for. will get dad to help me with this
