Next stop would be Grandis, NSW tallest tree at 76m, a flooded gum

First an idyllic looking farm, I've got some mates that are right into permaculture

The first dirt in days and just off the M1

Tunnels are always fun, I think I might come back as troll/hippie hybrid one day

    Certainly stands out

Hard to get it all in one shot

    Grand indeed

    Thats what HE said

    That jungle green looking good

Some people in a Subaru Outback asked me if they would make it the way I had come, its flat, graded, gravel. You'll be fine.

It was back on the freeway briefly till I got to Taree and Ol' Bottlebutt - NSW Biggest Tree at 16m around! Dumm Thicc

You gotta love a forest, the life cycle may be harsh but it is non stop

By now the sun was low in the sky, making for some beautiful light

Here you can see how it got its name - Ol' Bottlebutt

    Check that bark

72m, no slouch but competition is fierce at the top

Both trees have been affected by the fires, I shudder to think what this area looks like now.

    Day 4 continued

I stayed that night in Crescent Head, a beautiful little seaside town, known for good surf and very popular as a summer holiday destination, easy to see why.

Was a quick visit and I would like to get back there one day.

    Things have been busy.
Basically finished a job that I had been doing for nearly 40 years.
    Started a new venture.
But always looking forward to seeing your pictures.
Always stunning and ver professional looking.
What do you use for taking them?
Certainly seem to have a good eye.

    Cheers Kiwivan

    Hi Kiwi,

sorry for the late reply, I haven't been online much lately.
End of an era, sounds like exciting times ahead, remember, even horror movies are exciting!
Most of my picutres are taken with my phone - Pixel 3XL. recently I brought myself a Sony A6000, just before the Sydney trip, I am still learning to use it but the results are great.

    Hey all,

just over 3 years today since I picked up the car, still loving it. Nigh on 100, 000 Ks now!

    A few Aussie christmas pics

The place was so dry for a while there

    And then the rains came!

Have had the last month off and took the chance for some more road trips, when the rain allowed!

Glasshouse mountains, I went out this day to try and see them from differnt angles, no touristy lookouts today!

Had to take a few forest roads

    Crook neck close up

Sometimes I do need to turn around

the angle never shows in photos, but I did not think I would make it up here, plus I was a good 1/2 hr drive from the main road

Gee, that's a long way from where it was built and sold.
I have it on the V-Series data base as a Western Australia car. Listed on Gumtree April 2018
It's actually a VY with a VZ nose.
