Car is built in Adelaide (according to ID Tag).
So can it still be a XU3 Sandman ?
What distinguishing features does a XU3 built Sandman have than a normal HZ Sandman and are they worth more ?

Yes it can still be an XU3 Sandman built in Adelaide or any other plant, it's only Brisbane that bothered to stamp them on the tag.
Are they worth more? Nope! 99.9+% of the populated wouldn't even know the difference.
The only difference is the XU3 had commercial tyres and thus a higher GVM, just like the stock tradie van.
It's either a Sandman or Not. The value is in the specs, condition and books.
Widowless sides, L31, M21 in a desirable colour in the eye of the purchaser etc.
It's whatever tickles the buyers fancy.

Would a 4/1979 built HZ Sandman still come out of the factory with the GTS rims or those Honeycomb rims ?
