    Have a look at the spare wheel winch the mushroom on end of the cable needs to suit gts rims or the aluminium rims of late hz if it’s standard then it’s not a sandman do a search on furum and you will see the difference

    The wiring for the twin lights is another good indicator, but all these things are not “proof”. They can all be added or changed. I know you could option the alloy wheels on WB so no doubt you option them on any HZ too. Not sure about that though and I have not seen mentioned that you could order the steel sports wheels on any HQ-HZ?

    Would I spend sandman level money buying/restoring it? No
    Would I bolt it back together, give it one hell of a cut'n'polish and drive it everywhere? Yes

    Cool thing, but I doubt you'll ever be able to prove it one way or another.

    Based on that Absinth was saying that 67C (Tan) trim can't be Sandman only post 10/1978 Holden Van/Ute base model (exclusive).

    Yeah, that's the way I see it, unfortunately for Druey. Still like this colour though, and would be a great van at the right price

    I would still buy it at the right price change the trim colour to Buckskin or Chamois
    paint it Panama whack some stripes on it
