I am looking at heater hose sizes - top outlet of heater radiator on firewall is 3/4 inch which I believe runs direct to water pump. The new Gates water pump is only around 5/8 connection so what is correct hose to use?

One hose will run via the control tap l think 5/8 hose will slip over a 3/4 fitting with the help of hot water
