    Rare spares bumperettes

Hi guys, any one used the rare spares bumperettes? I purchased some got them out of the box today and there's little dots over them, one worse than the other looks like the chrome is pimpling underneath, has anyone else had problems with them? The only thing is I brought them 18 months ago in anticipation but only just unwrapped them, so probably got no warranty on them! Thanks in advance

If you contact Shane Harris at Head Office on 03 9 3054000 he should be able to help you. Having the packaging and part numbers along with where you bought them will enable a quick find. Often the box will have the batch number on it so the more information you provide the quicker it gets resolved.
It is not a matter of a cheap chrome job but more in the preparation before plating. Taiwan is experiencing the same issues we have here with plating being an environmental concern.

Thanks Gregbark, the box has a heap of info on it, will contact the store I got it from in the morning, I placed a big order with them Friday so hoping they can do something, I'm more interetesed to see if there has been many more that have issues, if there a problem I will get my old ones plated when I get the front bar done. I don't want to be pulling them off and on all the time, Cheers

By all means contact the store where you purchased it from if you need to confirm the purchase, however you have enough information to contact Shane direct so that you get prompt action. There are a number of reasons why the chrome is not acceptable and eventually they will be returned to the factory for replacement at a later date. The factory can then check their processes for future supply and hopefully rectify it.
Rare Spares has procedures in place to investigate any issues, and resolve them where possible, but the quickest way is to contact Head Office direct.

Sometimes the simplest way is the best to get a result. There are other items that Sandman members have had issues with product and have been very happy with the end result. Rare Spares have been in business since 1975 and these days quick customer satisfaction of product is considered extremely important. Let Hilta follow it up, and then see what the end result is from his posting, before any comments.
