    Keep the info coming.

I suspect that a lot of members who have finished their Sandman are less regular on here now that they aren't constantly checking advice and seeking info on the build, so that might explain why we seem to have a lot of projects as opposed to going vehicles

    HZ 8WM70 Sandman
    Adelaide build
Factory 308/ M21 GU4 But it has a Saginaw box fitted
    Saddle Tan Metallic
I bought it when I was 20 took it of the road to do it up in 1994 and didn’t get very far! And she is partially dismantled & Unfortunately stored in a mates paddock for about 12 years until I bought my own house & it’s been in my shed ever since.
I only had it finally confirmed on here a couple of weeks ago (on here, thanks guys) that she is a genuine Sandman! as I was originally told by “friends” that Sandman’s didn’t come in that colour!
I’m now working on getting the funds together to get the body done, as it will be a full body off chassis rebuild so I’ll need the cash up front for the body work.
I’m leaving the Saginaw box in her but I will remove the LPG system.
It’s a big project, but I’m finally in a financial position to get started.

Not sure that only HZ got Turbo boxes. All Overlanders were Turbo transmission and they started in HJ.

Pretty sure i read somewhere that they only used the Turbo 400 on the Overlander because the traumatic would not have cut the mustard so to speak

HQ 350 was TH400 and HJ through HZ 308 were TH400. They reverted to TH350 by the end of HZ.
