I wouldnt think so. I lifted one off with a 3pl jib crane on a Massey 135 with ease. Driveline things like engine, gearbox and diff really add up the weight and its suprising how much even doors and bumpers will weigh. I wouldnt be suprised if there was only 500kg or so in the cab itself.

I was thinking 400-500 kilos, but don't have anything to base that guess on. I presume you are saying stripped including windscreen & all nuts n bolts

500kg a good guess, that's what I presumed in the past

I agree on ~500kg. Not sure how you want to go about the jig, but if considering a rotisserie style, i'd recommend looking at the eBay units. I know they're quite a few hundred dollars, but compelling nonetheless.

I got the unit below, which worked out really well.

    Hey Gene

Not sure of exact brand but most of them seem to be the same design, so assuming they come out of the same factory? Had a dig around on eBay and found a couple ranging from $600 - $800 +freight. Yes i did have to create short adaptor brackets to connect the arms to the body when i did mine. We mounted to the rear bumper bolt holes and also the front body mount holes

Link to the cheapest unit i saw: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CAR-TRUC...frcectupt=true

Edit: My original idea was to sell the unit after the build for say half price and recoup some of the outlay. Lucky for me, my panel beater ended up buying it off me for half price so effectively it cost me ~$400ish
