Yeah certainly will. At the time it seemed like it has taken forever, but I took it on a trip to Tassie in May, So essentially a 6 month turnaround.

Given the amount of work its been relatively quick. Not sure how long its going to take to reassemble though , but that's the fun part.

Yeah that's great work by your shop! Bet your happy to know the body is rust free and good for another 40 years...probably even straighter than when it was new!

    Hey Damian,

Yeah it's nice to know it's rust free and everything is essentially new again. I'd say she's a lot lighter without all the bog etc too.

Good to see progress on the rebuild HXsman, and that you were brave enough to share the pics of the RUST.
I'm doing a similar resto with my HQ van, time wise its been 4 1/2 years and getting close to the paint shop stage.
Cost wise rule of thumb is what you reckon its going to cost double that and add 10%.
The best part is going to be reassembly after painting, the enjoyment over rides cost any day.

    Hey Robbo,

Yes looking forward to re assembly - send us some photo's.

I was happy to share the rust as like mine they all look great until you strip them down.

So its going to be a nice feeling knowing that there are no rust gremlins, at least for a very long time.

You are right in that once you get back behind the wheel the cost and the time is quickly forgotten.

Interior is getting done today. It will sit in the booth for the weekend.

Next week we will trial fit the T56 Magnum. Using Mal Wood's Under Dash clutch.
