    HJ 308 ute exhaust systems

Its time to purchase my exhaust system and as i am doing a fully original restoration, i am looking at exhaust options. From what i have read, no HJ Sandman v8 was fitted with dual exhaust. I read a blog from Byron back in 2015 stated that dual exhaust could have been a dealer fitted. I have an original HJ sales brochure which lists a lot of dealer accessories but nothing about dual exhaust. I have standard cast exhaust manifolds. Can anyone assist- was dual exhaust a dealer option? I prefer dual but if it wasnt available in 1975 then i will go single system. Feedback would be appreciated

Yeah, it wasn't an official dealer accessory. What most dealers did, was simply get the necessary parts from the parts dept. & bolt them on.

Not a factory option & not an official GM accessory, but it used genuine parts.

Go to a well known exhaust place with a reputation talk to them what you are wanting... that's what they do for a living .
