    Another HX to the Collection

    Hello fellow Sandmaners,

I Just purchased what I believe is another HX Sandman Ute, this one I believe is rarer as it is a 6cyl auto with all matching numbers and engine. I will be restoring it back to original and leaving the 6cyl in it.

Can I get some second opinions please....... Info below,

Hi Rod, all good pointers there but nothing that says definitely. I take it you know your Sandman, does it have the other hx physical features, paint outs etc?
The only way to know for sure will be to stump up for a holden historic services report for $90and you'll have a certificate to prove it.

Okay, I thought it was obvious that 18V, 60A, and 67V trim is Kingswood and Sandman trim in a HX - as not sandman only... So there is no kingswood Sandman in HX.
So WM body and 18V , 60A and 67V trim in HX = Sandman.
2 seating capacity, floor shift, lower GVW for 6cyl. Yes it does have black outs, but has been re painted red at some point of its life and is faded and peeling off, the original colour is underneath Chamois.
Where do I get one of those exclusive holden historic services report from...
    Regards
    Rod

    I know 18v is a given, but I didn't know 60A and 67V were a guarantee.

Google them and it will come up

Only 18V trim is a unique trim code to Sandman in HX. That’s only valid for Australian ones too, NZ it was available on base model as well.

Thanks guys, I will have to bite the bullet and get a holden historic report done, to find out for sure......I am pretty certain it is a Sandman, as all the features so far suggest so.
    2 seat cap
    WM80 Base model not Kingswood
    Floor Shift, Console mounts
67V Trim code Sandman or Kingswood
    Door light switches
    Lower GVW for 6cyl
    Matching numbers Pagewood Sydney example
    Regards
