As previously mentioned, I am a sales rep based in Bundy covering most of regional Qld.
In Jan 2019, I was out west at Chinchilla and as I do, thought I would see if there was a local wreckers......you know one that is run by an old boy who has a back corner full of Sandmans that he'd forgotten about. Well half was right, unfortunately the first half. It had just gone 4pm, still 43c and the owner was about 15 years over having a business.
It was 5 acres of everything from the last 50+ years, no fence...cars had been stacked on top of each other to outline the boundary but that was it. There were heaps of 70s cars, mostly Valiants and HQ- HZ, one WB van and a rare XD tailgate van.
The guy was not interested in really parting anything and certainly not off the WB, I mean what else was going to store all those springs. He wanted $300k WIWO.......I now see he's crushed the lot, cleared the yard and dropped it by $100K
