as far as I know there was recovery bottle, just flows out the hose and onto the ground. Don't fill them up too much.

Both my HZ & WB used to have a bottle fitted.
Obviously aftermarket, but they sat virtually next to the battery.
I'll see if i can find a pic somewhere.

wb had them moulded as part of the washer bottle. I dont think the earlier series had them.

That is an aftermarket one.

Your radiator cap might be stuffed, fit a new one and make sure it is the correct one for your model. Might be a cheap fix.
