That was a sweet HQ. But it also needed 20K spent on it to get it right. It had quite a few errors.
Pretty sure the sale price was $143,000 but the asking was $168,000
The person who paid overs for it and then tried to sell it?
Wrong doors, wrong door guttering, wrong seat backs, wrong Kingswood door trims, wrong coloured grill are just some of the things I remember.
Still the best looking Sandman I've seen for sale though.
Selling HJ 253 Engine

Not sure why you would try and sell it on that platform. You must lose potential buyers with that astronomical buyers premium.
It’s not what it’s worth, it’s what some lunatic is willing to part with. It’s like going to a farm clearing sale, some people will pay new price for second hand junk because they get caught up in the moment.
Ok 143K still way overpriced for a V8 Holden Van with stickers
I'm glad I got mine when I got it... A lot of people thought I payed too much, but just a few years on it looks like the bargain of the decade.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
Ended at $70,109 reserve not met...........back under the house it goes with all the other dusty reds
Well that’s it’s value then. Market has definitely cooled.
[QUOTE=Valencia;117592]Market has only cooled for some cars have a look what HQ Monaros and Toranas are pulling atm and parts for them are even stupid prices

I was specifically talking about Sandman’s. I am sure Aston Martin DB4’s are still selling well too. Husaberg shave dropped in value but I predict that in ten years they will rise again. Honda XR’s are red hot at the moment.
