    G'day Kevin,
Are you sure what diff you've got? Even the baby Salisbury (out of 6cyl WBs) still have 10 bolts on the diff cover.
Any factory v8, in HQ - HZ & WB would have a large Salisbury diff

    Cheers
    Max

I believe Kevin is counting the bolts that hold a banjo centre in. Not diff plate bolts.
I could be wrong. But I think this is likely.

All HQ-WB V8's had a 10 Bolt Salisbury (diff hat with 10 bolts and rear load construction). The 6cyl diff was a banjo (front load centre 8 bolts) no entry from the rear and no removable hat.

    Kevin,
Your information is OK for early commodore up to VK, but definately wrong for H series holdens. In fact it was possible to get a large Salisbury in 6cylinder holdens
