Problem is it's affects us buying parts now. Got quoted $550+ for a Brass/Copper radiator for a 6cyl HG yesterday. Questioned the price and was told "have you seen what these old cars sell for today?, it's all relevant to that!"
Much like chrome plating some years back. Take 2 bumpers both roughly the same size and shape. One cost say $300 and the other $700. One was to fit a common car and the other an expensive luxury car. Same job in hourly work and materials. It's all just a rip off!
