Hi all,

New here, been lurking for a while, thought I would toss up some photos of my shitbox.

From the outset I'm not trying to build a replica. Just want to tidy my old HZ ute up, but just so happens I'm going to throw some Sandman decals on it. Stumbled across the forum looking for info on Sandman decals, blackouts etc.

This is what I've started with. HZ 6 cylinder base model. Quite clean, I had to clean up a couple of rust issues.

Where I'm at now. Almost ready to block back and paint. It will be Papaya, with black Sandman decals (thanks Stick This).

Cheers guys. It will have HZ stripes in black, fluted guards, single headlight front & WB tail lights. So, definitely not a replica

So, this is what I started with. Picked it up reasonably cheap a few years ago when I was supposedly restoring a one tonner.

6 cylinder auto. Was originally from out Wagga or Albury way so it was reasonably rust free. Ex builders ute so had a few dings in it but was pretty good for it's age. I'm in South Western Sydney area, bought it from a bloke north of Newcastle and drove it home on an unregistered permit.

Threw my GTS wheels on it pretty much straight away.
