Question about HX sandman chassis number

    Hi All,
Has anyone heard when Holden first built the HX Sandman panel van built date February 1976 that they used up the left over chassis from the HJ ??. The chassis number matches the rego papers. But the compliance plate & the production report has a different chassis number. I’ve been told that this is a original sandman & that how it came off the production line.
I need help on this 1
    Thanks
    Regards Paul

February 1976 will be a HJ
HX production started June or July 1976.

Better if you post up the details off the tags & the production report

I was told this by the guy selling the van, but I’ve never heard of a chassis number being different to the compliance place intelligence the chassis has been changed. But I could be wrong

    Chassis has been changed

If it was a sandman, it isn't really anymore

    Tell him he's dreamin!

Previous rego papers or receipts only mean the chassis has been changed a while ago

Depends what you want, this won't be seen as an original sandman, but if it's in good condition and it's at the right price for you, & you're wanting to buy a panel van, still might be worth looking at.

If you're looking for a sandman, probably better to keep searching
