I DID THE TESTS ON THE WEEKEND.
    1) Run the engine and get full vacuum, turn the engine off, place your foot on the brake pedal with moderate steady pressure and hold.
The brake pedal feel shouldn't feel any change over a minute. NO CHANGE
    2) If after one minute the feel doesn't change take your foot off the pedal and slowly pump the pedal up and down a further three or four times. Each time you pump the pedal it should feel a little bit harder to push down. (using vacuum) After that the pedal will feel stiff and harder to depress. ALL GOOD...SEEMS LIKE THE BOOSTER IS OK. I'll now get the motor checked.

On another note, I had brake fluid running down the front of the booster. Second time this has happened after a brake service. and I have removed fluid from the master cylinder reservoir DOWN TO LEVEL WITH THE DIVIDING BAR. So what is the norm? If it is filled to max it seems to leak through the gap/tab at the back of the master cylinder cap.

If your sure its leaking at the top of the reservoir then the rubber seal isn't doing its job. Set your fluid level to the full mark or a fraction under. Wash out the cap rubber under water and let it dry. If the reservoir is overfilled then fitting the cap can push fluid out.
