    WB SANDMAN,and a cute tractor

i got a call last week from a man who wanted to sell some cars..hz vacationer wagon 253 auto etc,hq 1 tonner 6 cyl low k rusty and what was described to me as a wb v8 van 4 speed caprice front etc...well i went down to sydney sunday morning and checked them out, vacationer and the tonner were exactly as described but the van wasnt described quite right..its semi pulled apart but what is interesting is it was 8 years old when it was last registered and back in 1982 it would have been the equivalent of a sandman in 77...253 4 speed, sports dash, 2 seater, windowless and dark metalic green...has 179k on it and log books....i will have it next week so ill post more pics then..

the other thing i bought while i was there was this really cute 1950s tractor..its a howard and it runs, has a rotary hoe on the back...i liked it..its like the shetland pony of tractors..

That is a pretty neat van. Metallic paint too. My mate picked up a WB van for me recently pretty cheap too, it is a white 4spd but is a bench seat and normal dash. 100% rust free in original paint, just needs the blue 3.3 replaced as it has busted rings on one cylinder and the tailgate is dented. Not sure whether to bother with it or not. Doesn't even need painting, just the tailgate. I'd probably have enough bits to put a running blue 308 together and swap the M20 out for a V8 box or a TH400. All takes time I don't really have though! If it was a V8 4spd like that WB though it'd be at home in the shed already!

While we were at the Wellington Swap meet today, there was a club of Howard tractors exhibiting...they maybe interested in your little tractor there was not one there but quite a few other howard ones...I have put a pic of their number, if you wanted to on sell for a bit of a profit...
