Sandman Tail Tents.

G'day All,
Know a bloke from the GMH Torana forum website from when I had an SLR5000 & last year he did a batch of reproduced Hatch Hutches for the Torana Hatchbacks. Anyway towards the end of this year he's looking at doing the same for the Tail Tents which was an option for the Vans. He reckons that that they will cost approx. $350 - $400 each. I'm definately going to get one as I've been after one for a couple of years now & they seem to be extremley hard to find. So if anyone is interested I will keep you posted for when they become available.
Also does any camping store manufacture etc. do up the same sort of annex set up(except bigger) for our type of vans. I love going away with the missus on weekends away but don't want to set up a seperate tent if I can get away with it compared to a nice annex hanging off the back of the van.

Hey - I've got a Tail tent that I MAY be Persuaded into selling! I too really wanted to make
some replicas but after heaps of running around, major problems and unbelievably high quotes it got put into the "to do later" basket.

I've spoken to the guy with the Torana Hatch Hutches and seen his work and they look excellant - so I think I might leave it to someone who has a track record of quality.

Could you please keep me posted on these as I need one. Was concidering getting one custom made, but a re-poduction tail tent seems alot more ecconomical.

By the way, does anybody know what colours they were available in when released?

just to let you know we will be starting the proceedure for getting these made in the coming months.

So hang in there, I know that these have been along time coming..
