Never thought we would need a tailtent until out roadtrip last week as:
A I have not yet made a curtain, and not too sure I want to for the rear window.
B Got a bit hot in there, but didn't want to leave tailgate up too high as mossies got in
Look forward to taking it to the Van Nats to display

Fantastic work guys. Please put me down for one definitely.
Still gets hot in there Jennie on a warm summers night, the original type material used doesn't breath.... I had a tent manufacturer sew a screen with zip into my original one back in the 80's.
The bloody mozzies and midges still find their way in through the gap between the lower tailgate and body.... I could never seem to get the tent to seal right under the tailgate so I used to lay a rolled up beach towel across the gap to stop them getting in.
Damned good price guys... thanks for going to all the effort on these.. well worth the wait and should go like hotcakes...

Hi guys, just thought that I would update you all on how things are progressing on the Tail Tents.
First of all, the manufacturer is rectifying some of the minor issues that we brought up with them and we are pretty confident that these will roll into full production within the month!!
A bit of trivia for you all...
In 1975 (see the flyer below) the Tail tent sold for $48.50, plus sales tax (20% at the time). If you go to the RBA site and do the calcs, with the inflation calculator it comes up with a cost in todays dollars of $350!! Now if you include things like GST and postage, our pricing of these is not far off!
http://www.rba.gov.au/calculator/annualDecimal.html
Anyway, the two flyers below will be included with the new Tail tent as well as cardboard box to keep your Tail Tent nice and clean!!
For those interested to see the sample in the flesh, fingers crossed, OZBOX will have it on Display at the Big Three Showdown on the 27th Mar and Bargoed House (near Swansea).
cheers
Mick

Nice work boys...you have got another sale with me, i want one...am yet to christen the old girl and this might help get the camping trip locked in...
Well done on all the hard work!
are the tail tents available yet and where do i order from?
--- Updated ---
has anyone ever seen or know of the sundowner or drifter having a tail tent? i was searching for info on these(not much around) and came across a photo of a tail tent on a drifter advertising brochure. it was the same as the sandman but went past tailgate by what looks like 2-3 ft and onto the ground. i think it was a $195 option.
