    Lock nuts

Any tips for undoing anti theft wheel nuts on a set of US Racer wheels? I dont have the tool/thingo for them.

Old sockets that are smaller than the locknut, breaker bars, vice grips and cold chisels have worked for me in the past.

    Before you do it.

Tighten the two wheel nuts either side of it. The other two that are opposite take them off. This puts less tension on the locknut and it should come off ok.

Give the lock nut a good wack or two white holding it and trying to turn it with vicegrips. If you have room.

Or a socket with sharp edges is best and a large hammer. So use a 12 point socket. Or even better if you have a Torx (star) socket large enough.

Thats a good trick that one. I had one that was ultra tight and all mangled around the outside. Ended up drilling a hole in the centre and hammering in a big torx socket and then managed to crack it with a long breaker bar.

I am pretty sure I have some torx sockets. Thanks for ideas!
