love the look of all those new parts jennie!
What is your manifold?
Talking of manifolds how are the finished? just the raw aluminum, which looks to have been blasted.. Reason for this is because i have just pulled mine off to repaint the block with proper 2 pack.
My manifold is painted in dodgy single pack, taking it tomorrow to get soda blasted.
Any suggestions?
Manifold looks like a KC 253308, which is a copy of the VC-VK/L HDT manifold and is a multifit for all HT-VL heads.
I agree with Greg, motor looks pink.
Not a new block, but not the original 253 block, for that exact van, but sort of in the correct date area, its two months newer than Vanbuild date..It will also be able to run on unleaded fuel, and ethanol
Yes intake manifold is for a four barrel because we are putting a reconditioned four barrel Rochester on the motor, as far as exhaust manifold we will probably purchase extractors, and we are intending to leave the valley silver, and not painted like we had on our original van motor....but if that is incorrect maybe we won't.
Oz, remember I said I had a lot to learn about motors, I have never seen a pressure plate, and when it was bright pink in the package I got excited...I though everything was metal, or black colour....
Definitely the motor is red, the light in the shed must have made it appear pink...although a pink motor would be a talking point but not very original...
and Jason will make sure we paint the oil pump then...
That is such a cool little car, that would be a great car to have to drive about in especially this month...(support for Breast cancer pink month)![]()
