    Ute's or Van's?

I love all Sandman's, however when it came to buying one I chose the ute. I alway's admired the work put into the van's, with the mural's and the interior design's, it astounded me. The artwork on some of the van's was something you had to see to believe.I guess it's a preference, for me I like ute's. I never used mine for work or anything, to me it was a car that had a really large boot.

I now own a 07 VZ ute,it's just my preference, all the kid's are grown up.So when the wife and I go away we have more than enough room for luggage, that's for sure. I guess in the Sandman scheme of thing's the ute's would be scarce now, but what would be the preferred choice if both were available? Just curious, that's all.

    Cheer's.

Obviously I say ute, because I have one and have had several utes/pickups, although this is only my second Holden ute. My brother had a HJ GTS mockup back in the eatly 80's, And I loved the Sandman utes in the 70's, just took me until 2 years ago to get myself one. Having said that, I like the vans too, but if two good examples were put in front of me, I think I'd go ute every time.
    That's just me, I'm a ute bloke.

Ute's here as well. Totally biased as I have always had a ute - I am still driving the ute (HQ) I learnt to drive in on the farm when I was 12 (30 years ago). Finally had it panel beaten and resprayed the one shade of Barbados green. I bought my brothers HZ Sandman ute in the mid 80's and loved it. Some knob stole it and stripped it bare, the only savalgeable parts were the two rear light surrounds which are on the HQ. I do have the ID plate thought as they didn't take that, as in those days the parts were worth more than plates.

Agree the mural and mod's on Vans in the 70's is what got me into cars - I remember looking in Van Wheels and thinking what mods were cool,

    cheers......

Yes same one. The side/tail gate sticker were taken off at the dealer before delivery, it had the small ones on the front quarter panels. I'll post some pictures when I get a photo bucket account.

For me it's a van. Bought mine to relive my youth. Love just being able to go away for the weekend with the missus, (who I been married to for 20 years now) & going to caravan parks or wherever & just kicking back relaxing.

well i guess i have to say ute as that is what i have - i would love a van as well but that would just be greedy. utes are my thing too i guess. if the right original unmolested and untouched barn find in all the right colours and decals came up (you the know the fairytale type story) i would swap the ute for the van. then i would buy a cheap ute and do a mock up just to get around in. heheh

Van definitely. I wasn't aloud to buy one for my first car, so I've had to wait 20yrs and now have one. Lovin' it!!!
