technically byron i would think that because a t350 or t400 have 3 gears that the layman or salesman at the time would have just called them the heavy duty trimatic so as not to confuse the issue...makes sense to me...:knockout:

Maybe with TH400, but definitely not TH350. They had so many problems with the TH350 when they started using it, that there is no way it'd have been called "heavy duty" by any means! Talk to Dr Terry about it. Most wondered why GMH didn't just use the trimatic again instead of the TH350 as the trimatic is actually a better box.
