Hey Agro I think 100% at Burrendong is only 100% irrigation allocation. It will go to 150 I believe and then she is full.

Things are starting to go down here, slowly. Normally our local rivers( talbragar and Coolahburragundi) go down as quickly as they rise. They have been up since Sunday. The Talbragar is as high as I have seen it in my short lifetime. The Coolahburragundi has been very well behaved and not got as high as it should have.... thankfully as it would have all but taken all my crops. Hopefully it stays that way.

at 150% we have water lapping our van, it is very likely to happen too.....Forbes will likely flood now, as the Lachlan is rising, Belubula is flooding Carcoar....which joins the Lachlan....well I am not completely complaining we have to drink....

We have had nearly 2" from 4.30am this morn till now....

so sorry for the farmers though.....

Sounds like it is very wet over your way Jennie. Too much rain really. It has stopped here and all rivers are going down again.

6inches of rain in 5 hours

We have now had 6inches from 4am, it is official the most rain ever recorded in December, or at once I think...Forbes will go under shortly and pretty much all roads are now cut...so sorry for the farmers...

Just listening to the local news Jennie. It sounds like it is pretty bad over at Parkes. Hope you are high and dry.

I really feel for the poor buggers on the land. My Grandparents, parents, Uncles/Aunties/cousins all have/had properties around West Wyalong, Ungarie, Tallimba and Beckom and I used to spent my holidays driving a tractor around in ever diminishing circles....and loved it. I was out west a few months ago (Griffith via Temora) and the crops looked spectacular to say the least...I thought for sure the cockys would be in for a bumper year...then the damn rain. Hope you guys, and gals, can hang in there for another year and if you want a free tractor driver for next years harvest let me know (I've got a pop top van and my own esky so I'm self sufficient)...I'm a little rusty but nothing 5 minutes back in the seat cant fix.
This is a genuine offer....you just tell me what gear and how many rpm and I'm off until sunset....hell, I'd even be happy to sit on an old tractor with just a sunshade and a McCormick pto header.

I might take you up on that GTS! Might depend on if I get this harvest off first though.

Was talking to a mate today in Tumut and he said that Blowering was 650mm over the spillway, that's 60 000 litres/second flowing into the Tumut River that flows into the Murrumbidgee which is already flooding upstream at Jugiong and Gundagai, if you would have said last Christmas that we would be in flood this Christmas then you'd have been locked up with the long sleeved jacket on
