True but i think the bottom of the Torana consoles have a different profile because of the floor pan

That sounds right, they are different along the bottom where they sit on the floor, either the sides or right at the front. I'm not sure the quickest way to tell. I also remember some torana had a wider bit at the front, but not all& dont know why it was like that

Any torana gear, as soon as you say torana people go crazy. I will need a LX console at some stage, that's why I was asking the easiest way to identify one from a HJ-X-Z, so I can check out sales etc of a holden console, without asking specifically for torana
