Could this be a sandman - Chassis swap

well as some of you may allready know, i dont own a sandman anymore, did, seller found out it was a sandman and backed out of the deal, deal done sunday night, no sandman tuesday night, was keeping it quiet(why i have posted much on this thread), just incase, but im over it, and well im not very inpressed, but thats life, its was a wreck anyways(it has been talked about on here recently), and well ive learnt 2 valuable leasons,
1-if theres a chance, leave a deposit, its worth the risk
2-dont post anything until its on the trailer out the gate
this has no way affected my desire to restore a sandman, i will just get a better one when my hqs finished, and the seller cannot expect my business again
thanks to all the blokes one here that helped, im still looking for another, have a print out of the "detailed sandman identification" in my car, so im still keen, eyes and ears open, i have my eyes on a ute, possible, but thats all youll hear unless its on my trailer

That sux Myles. What an arse. However you kick started a rip roarin thread by accident. If anything it gives you a chance to take on board what people have said. Theres a lot of mismatched number 30 year old vans out there... hang out for the right one and youll save yourself a lot of headaches down the track. I had a van with non matching chassis number and i was told by someone at vicroads that i would probably never be able to register it as the real identity couldnt be proven. Load of beaurocratic crap. Wait for the right one mate!

yeah another will come out of the woods, one thats not stuffed, and then ill own a sandman, again
