that is interesting ive seen a few now with two tone dashes
surely it couldn't have come from factory like that it would look too much like a second hand part chucked in a new car. there is no way I would buy a car with a black dash with a cream glove box and side bits(not that thats the case) , has to be someones handy work these cars are 30 years+ afterall

that is what we are trying to figure out bro! although hainzy's just looks like it has had the glovebox replaced, mine actually has the whole bottom a different colour including drivers side
Like I said I will try and dig up all info I have on the HZ GTS. I have this website: www.hzgts.net
I looked into this a while back. I have thousands of pics of HZ's\

It is a strange thing. I thought the glovebox was wrong and I bought another covert one off a bloke only to discover it was exactly the same colour. (so now I have 2...)
Also my other sandman has the original interior and the original sandman tyre placcard. Its dash is also a different colour. Here it is:

the details are thus:

Body 1935-60V
paint 567-30526

GVW 1950
1935 = Carribean Turquoise.
60V = Chamois vinyl.
The van came with this interior pretty much, but Byron emailed me the details which broke down the different interior colours.
From Byron - "If you send me a fax number I can give you a list of what is what colour in the interior, photocopied out of the HZ parts manual. The hoodlining would have been 'chamois' and the carpet 'covert' (a green)."
So to answer your interior question, Im not sure but I thought thats how it was supposed to be.
Anyhoo, yes also the console is wrong. Good pickup! The one in it was knackered so i grabbed another out of a HJ statesman.
Cheers.
