I use rare earth magnets for holding patch panels, super strong and cheap as on EBay. I use 10mm round by 5mm thick.

These are especially good if you can't get access to the rear of the panel to do up panel clamps...

Just make sure you keep the panels clean of metal filings and grinding dust, the magnets are bugger to clean. I always brush down my work area and give cavity areas a quick vacuum before final fit of the patch and welding.

At that price, i made my own. Spent maybe $50 on materials and made about 50 of them. Bit tedious, but worth it.
