Not sure why you think that. Chrome is 100% correct as it was part of the option list. That would be like saying a 308 is wrong or side panel glass is wrong.

Not sure if I'm right, but it is my understanding that chrome taillight surrounds were part of the Kingswood package and not available as an individual item.

Splitting hairs! Sandman stripes were fitted (or not) by the dealer, genuine mudflaps, GM radio etc.
They were an option like everything else, matters not who installed them before new car delivery. It was all GMH.
It's still done the same way today. Dealers making extra sales from the genuine parts & accessory list.

Yeah OK, I'd agree if this was the first time you declared this to be fact. But you have put this forward a few times in other threads.
Anyway, just putting forward my view which happens to be different to yours. No attack or disrespect intended and your probably right that they may have been changed sometime over the years and didn't leave the sales yard fitted. But then again it might have....
