    Hi Cara,

That car is pre-75 which means it is closer to a HQ than later HJ's when the GVM was de-rated on the compliance plates. 1/75 introduced a raft of changes to bring commercials into line with other vehicles and some of those are little things like the addition of retractable seatbelts.

Because it is a Panel van then the body has some distinctive tell-tale signs. HJ Sandman panel vans were the first to introduce the full roof lining all the way to the rear tailgate. There was also no corresponding Kingswood Panelvan model in a HJ making a Sandman the only body to get this system. There should be a distinctive roof lining mounting system.

This mounting system and toothed rail at the rear door is distinctly different from later HX and HZ Sandman and Kingswood panelvans bodies. Indications of that should be a good guide.

    Thanks Mauser!

Sounds like I'll have to wait to check it out in person!
