    In my HG I had a t700, 2.78 Banjo diff and 265/50r14 tyres.
    It was fantastic on fuel and would do about 2100 rpm @ 110km/h
    It cruised to Bathurst (and Canberra on a different trip) and was getting 32 mpg.
    Worked 308 with a 465 holley. (Also had A/C and P/Steer)
    BO6 = Rarer then a Sandman

    That RPM @100km/h doesn't sound like you were using a lock up converter agro? Sweet combo though, not over carbed so it would have had good airspeed through the carb/good torque.

    2100 @ 110km/h was just about perfect in a ute.
    Didn't worry about lock up and the 6 cyl diff was a dream with it.

    The HJ Stato that the motor came out of, already had the 465 on it.
