That is terrible that no one stopped!
I Always stop, I like to think that if i was in a bad situation that someone would help me out.. maybe not so.

just quietly is the smashed windscreen where the emu's head hit? did you go over it, or did it go over you? or did it just plain old bounce?

Shocking that no one stopped mate. I know I would have. Good to hear everyone involved is alright (not the emu of course, that fucker deserved to die after what it had done to your Senator!). Thankgod it wasn't your Sandman...

Dad had a head on collision with a kangaroo a few weeks ago in broad daylight. Luckily enough he was in his F100 ute so only minimal damage to the front end and not much left of the Kangaroo.

Hope the rest of your xmas break is much better and ROCK ON!

bad luck or did you go to all this trouble just to get the emu head for a mate .Good that you didn't swerve and end up down an embankment its a hard call at time .I'am always telling jennie not to swerve to miss a roo because 9 time out off 10 the roo will jump out off the way and if you do swerve you have then go to get control of your car again RB

We're just glad you are ok!

I suspect Dyl will have a few good stories to share though... by the time we catch up again he'll be telling me it was a heard of emu.

Hope we don't hear of anymore accidents from our Sandman friends over the holidays.

Funny you should say that mate. There where 5 chicks with the big daddy emu that we hit. They where big ones though.

Dyl's (5 year old son for everyone else) 3 biggest fears about the prang.
    1. It may not be legal to drive the car pranged like it was.
    2. He would have to walk to Sydney
    3. The car was no longer pretty haha!

BEST THING. WAIT UNTIL I TELL EVERYONE MY "INSURANCE STORY'

    Jason,
    Glad everyone was ok.

I have the same model Senator in a 185 wagon.

If photo's or anything i can help with let me know..

I'm only missing a left hand lower light assembly from the bumper, as i loaned the car to a friend and it fell out on him somewhere.
so if you find a complete front bar let me know.
    cheers

Cheers Skid. 185? Must be a VS? Or did you mean 195? VT only had the aussie 5L 195i or the stroked aussie 5L 215i. Later model VT's had the chev Gen3. Mine is only build number 9. So one of the first VT's.

The front "fog" lights. I replaced them and have fitted a hella spot light. No modicication to the bar. Just had to make a bracket to fit the light to the bar. Fitted HID's into the spoiler lights also. Along with the HID's in the headlights. This is why I fitted the projector headlights that came on the monaros and export statesman. Monaros where black headlights. The Export only WH Stato used chrome ones. I brought the last pair in australia about 2 years ago.... Bugger!
